Congratulations to the 6 Man Football Team

Our 6 man football team made it to the championship game last Saturday. Playing in the rain and mud in 30 degree temperatures gave both teams a true test. I am going to include a synopsis of the season as seen by one of our players.CHANT FOOTBALL 2015

To be honest, I couldn’t have asked for a better group of God-seeking guys to have played this awesome game called football with. I’ll take a loss of 28-20 in double over-time for a state title any day with y’all.

Every single ounce of effort we’ve put into this program has been beyond worth it. A full eleven months of preparation is all too evident in the way you played. We brought our game Chargers. We gave it our all. There were no regrets. There was nothing to hang our heads about. We played to the best of our God-given abilities, and that’s all that mattered.
Y’all played your hearts out.
Every last one of you.

Regardless of the fact my personal benefit to the team was unexpectedly cut short, I couldn’t be more honored to have played my senior year as a captain with y’all. I am forever grateful I was given the chance to have had one last go.

It’s been six years of blood, sweat, and tears… Man, have they been great. I wouldn’t have changed a single thing.

Can’t even begin to thank my dad enough for all he’s invested in this program. He’s been here from the beginning. Thousands of hours managing ever conceivable aspect of what it takes to run an entire football team. There aren’t a whole lot of people willing to invest as much as you have into a bunch of teens. I’ve had a better time having you as a coach than anything else we’ve done. Wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m proud to call you both my coach, as well as my dad.

Chargers Nation. Play like a Champion. All the glory to God.
