The Homeschool National Invitation Softball Classic has been confirmed
CHANT & T.T.Y.O are teaming up to host the Homeschool National Inivitation Softball Classic for all Home School organizations during the weekend of May 17-20, 2012.
We will have 2 divisions (Varsity Elite and Varsity Classic). The cost to participate will be $500 per team which covers expenses including, but not limited to, player insurance, field usage w/ lights for night games, spectator entry fees (this will allow all spectators to enter at no cost), balls, awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place, as well as, all-tournament selections and umpire fees.
Team registration/ team roster forms and contacts for lodging and car rentals will be sent out in the coming weeks. We will need payment, rosters and registration returned by February 1st, 2012.
The tournament will be A.S.A. format and each team will be guaranteed 4 games via a double elimination bracket at Craig Ranch Softball Facility in McKinney, Texas, Northeast of Dallas. If your team is not already registered with A.S.A., you will need to register your team (not the players) with A.S.A. Fee is $12 per team and we will have an A.S.A. representative with the paper work for you to fill out at the coaches meeting the Thursday evening prior.
Can you please send me a confirmation e-mail A.S.A.P., so we can know how many fields to reserve. The facility has up to 5 fields. If there are any changes whatsoever, you will be notified immediately
5/17 7 p.m. Coaches meeting
5/18 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. tournament games
5/19 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. tournament games
5/20 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. tournament games
We have already had interest from teams in Michigan, Kansas, Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma. We will have concessions, sports vendors and t-shirt vendors available for your convenience. You may bring coolers with food and drink/ Plastic bottles only.
Please spread the news to any and all home school organizations that have a softball program and contact us A.S.A.P. to let us know if you have interest in joining us!!!
It is our desire to give these ladies a chance to showcase their talents against other Home School teams from across the nation. We will do our best to promote these ladies on a local, regional and national level, as many college coaches will be invited to the event. Our website will post winners, as well as, all-tournament selections.
Your prayerful thoughts are desired as preparations are made for this event and we look forward to hearing back from all of you in learning of your interests, thoughts, and ideas in putting together an enjoyable and competitive tournament for the Home School softball programs .
